Love the bit about clown EV's, yes they certainly are a joke.

Zap Cars suck. Zap has been around since 92, I think. All they make are clown cars. They say they will make a Super Electric car or something, but they keep saying that. I wonder what is taking them so long.

The first ZAP-X models for crash testing should be delivered by January. After testing (which could take months) to make sure it is NHTSA compliant, it won't be long before they start rolling off the line. The ZAP cars available now might be a little clowninsh but they have been one of the few available for the past few years. Something is better than nothing.

But they could have done so much better.

Why don't they use NiMH batteries? Why are they using Lead Acid? Nilar manufactures NiMH that works in EVs. Why does ZAP continue to use Lead Acid? The new Model uses Lithium, but what took so long?

I think they use lead in the Xebras to keep the cost as low as possible. And I think they skipped on NiMH because it's a little expensive and not as good as lithium. Their new vehicles will be lithium powerd. They recently hooked up with a Chinese lithium battery supplier and the prices are coming down now. What took so long? I know...it's taking forever.

I actually witnessed something. pulling out of a parking lot, I saw a Prius with a sticker that said "clean special fuel" We were behind it until we had to pull over for gas. then when we left and went down the road, the Prius had been totalled, wrecked, and flipped over, hit by some viper or something. Coincidence? Or big oil hard at work? They mean to stop the electric and gas-less cars. by any means necessary
