Check out the old school telephone at 1:52. I had one like that in my house. Damn, am I that old?

Surely this was earlier than 1980? I was a kid when this was on TV...I don't think I'd have been scared at 20 years old!

I think it was originally broadcast about 1971 but it was shown in the early 1980's for sure because that's when I saw it at school ;-)

As per cjm30uk, I think it must have been '71 as I was born in Jan 1964 and I was young when this came out and I remember being slightly freaked by it. I never thought I'd ever see this footage again. Amazing! Sigh, if only it was possible to rewind life for the good bits of childhood eh?

Its kinda strange that whenever I go out on the town and drink way too much, everybody sounds like peep-peep. Is this a conspiracy or is *everybody* from space too? I'm worried now as I think the original show may have been real and just a cover up by the Government! Oh, here comes my nice doctor again. More pills for me and the bunny rabbits flying around my head.

Unbelievable that Sylvestra Le Touzel and Colin Mayes (peep peep) are still acting after all these years. Spooky how a show like this is deeply etched into our lives. I remembered bits of it (like an old dream) but after seeing these magnificent entries it floods back easily. First class YouTube entry. Excellent.

Yes it was originally packaged as a black and white series and shown up until the mid 70s. Then it was repackaged with freshly shot studio inserts and appeared in colour. Apparently they shot it in colour even though it was intended to be shown in B/W
