He's still left-handed in every other game, including SSBB and the Gamecube version of TP. They wanted to make him right-handed in the Wii version since it's easier for most people (Wiimote in right hand), but they didn't have enough time to. Instead, they just flipped the whole Wii version so that a right turn in the Wii version is really a left turn in the GCN version. See that map at the bottom-left? Flip it, and that's the GCN version...

After looking at the map, I can safely conclude that there have been some SERIOUS shifts from OoT. For instance, the Castle is more to the north, Death Mountain is more to the side, the Temple of Time is in Kokiri Forest (best estimate), and Kokiri Forest is off...
