Description:

As early as this winter, the Bush Administration could allow the slaughter of nearly 600 wolves in the Northern Rockies while they're still on the Endangered Species. Help stop the massacre by going to CallOffTheGuns.org.

This message is for craig3308 and people with likewise mentalities: Wolves are killing livestock because WE humans have encroached on THEIR hunting grounds. They are only doing what is natural to them just as eating meat or hunting to get meat is natural for you personally.

Men are humans. Wolves are animals. Everything was created for a reason, including man inventing the process of hunting and gathering to stay alive. HUNTING MEANS KILLING! If you don't like it, then get the hell out of America!!!! Instead of complaining about our country. Oh yeah, and wolves kill cows and chickens, things being raised to keep food on your table!

Its so sad to see that every comment on this page is people wanting the wolves to be shot and killed for no damn reason. What are you going to say when the government decides pet dogs are too dangerous to have around or some bullshit like that, and they come in and shoot your dog in front of you? It wouldn't surprise me in the least if our fucked up country came to that one day... How terribly depressing.

Chief Dan George said, "If you talk to the animals they will talk with you and you will know each other. If you do not talk to them, you will not know them, and what you do not know you will fear. What one fears one destroys." How sad that humans have lost their connection with nature. Marci

I do understand that wolves are predators, and very crafty ones they are. That is another reason why I do not understand the huge need to protect them, they are probably the best hunters in the woods. We act like wolves are something sacred of god.

I just do not undersdtand what the big idea is with protecting wolves. They are JUST an animal, like other fair game animals. I live in Wisconsin and i have seen 6 times as many wolves as i have coyotes or foxes. Does not make sense!

If you haven't forgotten, wolves are PREDATORY animals, and they need to eat meat to survive. Farmers do have a right to defend their animals, and I don't necessarily see a problem with firing upon something that poses a threat to them, however this shouldn't be seen as "Causing trouble", and aerial gunning is certainly not the answer (It should also be noted that this is NOT the reason given for the aerial gunning of the wolves).

People should not make an effort to hunt wolves, but if they have the chance to shoot them, are they really that different than deer or bear. Now they are off teh endangered list and tehy should be fair game durin a season. Farmers have all rights to shoot wolves by the pack if they have to, bepecially if the wolves take teh easy route and start killing cows, chickens,ect........ If the wolves cause trouble, the man causes trouble!
