Description:

Hi guys! This is another video tutorial made by me and hope this tutorial helps you to create movies from your computer or laptop using Windows Movie Maker. If you have question/doubt, post them here, and I will try my very best to answer them! ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Table of Contents:- 1. Basic Tutorial: - Open Windows Movie Maker - Import Video, Pictures, Music - Add item into Storyboard/Timeline - Add Video Transition - Add Video Effect - Save Movie File (wmv file) - View wmv on Windows Media Player - Upload video to Youtube 2. Advance Tutorial: - Managing Clips - Edit Clip ( Crop / Resize / Trim ) - Music ( Volume / Fade in-out ) 3. Preview Video Transitions 4. Preview Video Effects Requirement:- Windows Movie Maker 1.9 (upgrade to 2.1v) *It comes free in every "Windows OS" Windows Vista has "Windows Movie Maker 6" Codec Problems http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/faq/codec.mspx Why am I saving as MSWMM and not WMV? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lC-QVpzJzGQ ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Chapter 1: Basic Tutorial In the first chapter, it guides you on how to open your Windows Movie Maker application which resides in your computer (for Windows Operating System). If you are having Windows Movie Maker 1.9, you could upgrade it to version 2.1! However, the latest version requires Windows XP Service Pack 2. Next, the video guides you on how to import materials to build your movie! You could import all your pictures, musics as well as movie simultaneously (in the same time) Once you import them all, you can preview these imported items by selecting on it, and press spacebar (if its a video/music). For pictures, select it and it will automatically display on the mini screen located on the left. After previewing these items to check whether you have not imported the wrong items in, then you could add them into the storyboard/timeline by click + hold + drag. Storyboard is usually used for adding transitions while timeline gives the flexibility to the user, allowing them to place their title or play a certain song at a certain in their movie. At the end of this chapter, it teaches you how to upload your movie into Youtube. Don't upload MSWMM, upload WMV file. ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Chapter 2: Advance Tutorial In this chapter, it gives a more "detail" view on how to edit the imported items such as cropping, splitting and resizing. For the music, you could do sound effect to them too! For example, fade in and fade out for musics. They are used to not abruptly blast your speakers when they start playing the second song after the first has ended. You could control the music volume if you would like to use a microphone and convery your speech into your video. ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Chapter 3 and 4: Previews:- Watch how I add the transition and video effects to the pictures as well as the videos. Quite smooth ^_^ ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Extra Notes:- Oh ya, I have added some previews of the video (encoded / rendered / compiled / created) in different type of wmv formats. Take a look at them to find out which 1 is the best that suits you. In my opinion, I find that Broadband 512 Kbps wmv format processed kinda fast on my computer and this same goes with uploading into Youtube hi guys! i just wanna clarify the part "Managing Clips" There are 2 ways to manage your clips which are "Combine" and "Split" When you import a large file, lets say a 4 minute file, windows movie maker will automatically split those into smaller clips. If you want to add all of those clips into your storyboard, select all the clips, right click, choose combine. Then drag the combined clips into your storyboard. To undo, simply select all, right click, choose create clips. You could use CTRL + Z (undo) or CTRL + Y (redo) ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Ayumi's Diary:- If you have notice how I have created this video, I tried to synchronize the video to the music rhythm. Yea! You learn something new from here too. This video has lots of DDR and Techno musics. This tutorial can help you create movies for maple story (maplestory), warcraft, or school project presentation Techno Songs: 1. Show Me the Light 2. Sleepless 3. Better of Alone 4. Technoville 5. Paradise Remix 6. It's a dream 7. Dj Sephy Tune Up Ravers Fantasy (credits to w/e theHelper.net for the musics!) ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Useful links: http://www.wondertouch.com http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/forums http://www.papajohn.org http://www.rehanfx.org http://hitthebongo.co.uk/videofx http://users.ca.astound.net/movieblog/ http://www.nickswmmstuff.bravehost.com/ http://www.rdproductions.info/mm/Usef...

I know how to sync now. But I have a different problem. When I fast forward to a different part of the video the music is off timed. It only stays on time when I play it from the beginning. How do I make it so the video and the music are always on time?

Why is my video so cloudy looking? Is there something I can do to make it clearer?? It might just be my camera, but it's quite new, and shows up clear until I upload it onto the computer/Windows Movie Maker...

Hi, heres a problem I've been having with my WMM. Whenever I drop a video from my collection to the timeline, the quality on the time line is bad. Also, whenever I play the clip on the timeline, for some reason it lags. When I play it from the collection, I have no problem at all. Just when its on the timeline. With all these said, I find it hard to edit my video's if the video continuously lags on the timeline. I can't get the timing right with the music.

I have trouble deleting parts of a clip. For some reason the clip has like 8 minutes of black. No-one wants that.
