wmascetti ::: Favorites 2008-01-10 05:41:47 As for the third, in no way does Zechariah predict the act and price of Judas' betrayal. Read that and Matthew 27:9-10 together. Matthew not only distorts the words of Zechariah, he claims it was Jeremiah! As for the fourth, if psalm 22 describes Jesus, where are the lions? I wanted lions! And dogs! __________________________________________________
wmascetti ::: Favorites 2008-01-10 05:41:22 The second is highly misleading. Micah states that the messiah would be from the clan of Bethlehem, which if he was a descendant of David, he pretty much had to be. Also, Jesus being born in Bethlehem is not a historical fact. Matthew and Luke are the only ones who mention it, and Matthew places it in 6 BCE, while Luke places it in 6CE, hardly indicative of reliability. __________________________________________________
wmascetti ::: Favorites 2008-01-10 05:39:48 A challenge, eh? OK, starting with number one: the decree to rebuild Jerusalem was issued by Cyrus, in 538 BCE (Ezra 1:1-4). 483 years later would be 55 BCE. The decree of Artaxerxes had nothing to do with rebuilding. __________________________________________________
mmakram ::: Favorites 2008-01-10 01:00:20 If the flesh was so unimportant then why did God come in the flesh?? Salvation is free..it costs u nothing but Following Christ is not free...u need to make sacrifices..u need carry ur cross as well. __________________________________________________
FinnHawk ::: Favorites 2008-01-09 17:34:20 Jesus is a mistranslation from the Greek and Hebrew. His name in Hebrew was Yeshua which is Joshua in English. There are plenty of other Joshuas in the Bible. Jesus's name was NOT unique! __________________________________________________
supanovagal ::: Favorites 2008-01-09 03:48:59 hmmm... newstogod: did u watch the video ur commenting on?? The chances of those prophecies being individually fulfilled are minute, and Jesus fulfilled each and every one of them, not to mention all the others that aren't mentioned in the video. Incidentally, there is historical proof that Jesus existed, you just need to study history a little to discover this fact. There was even a CNN report on this, maybe you could use that in your general history search. __________________________________________________
supanovagal ::: Favorites 2008-01-09 03:24:54 Hey Jidd! ya it's true that most ppl won't read or look into the Bible, and you're one of them! If you did look into and test it according to history and science, you'd see that it's all true. Why don't u go ahead and prove one thing wrong with logical reasons instead of outrageous falsifying. People who talk and don't act should not be taken seriously. __________________________________________________
supanovagal ::: Favorites 2008-01-09 03:18:24 exactly! __________________________________________________
supanovagal ::: Favorites 2008-01-09 03:17:28 hey finnhawk: who do you suppose as origins from ancient times? Who do you suppose would be ruler of Israel (God's ppl at that time)? None other than divinity is ancient and is ruler of all. You have no reason to doubt if ur reason is based on Micah 5:2. __________________________________________________

FinnHawk ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 18:47:58 The Micah prophecy is SO vague. It doesn't even speak of Bethlehem as a town, but as a clan or person, and it doesn't speak of a messiah, but a "ruler/king of Israel", which Jesus never was. If you read all of Micah chapter 5, it's so obvious it has nothing to do with predicting the messiah "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times." -Micah 5:2 __________________________________________________
Shadrach76 ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 17:00:59 "Isn't the Bible like a history book on its own?" no, its not. there have to be outside sources to callibrate the claims in the bible. there are none that affirm that those stories are true. this is why the gnostics are left out, they contradict the biblical stories of jesus. __________________________________________________
Shadrach76 ::: Favorites 2008-01-08 16:58:16 ".. and to put together over a 100 prophecies .." its called story time. this was before TV, so people made stuff up for entertainment. __________________________________________________ |
