After being discovered remarkably by Steven Spielberg himself in an MGM commissary one afternoon in 1981, she become a star overnight with her beaming talent. She delighted audiences far and wide with her various roles, and was going far, aspiring to become a director. However, this trend didn't last long. She died tragically from septic shock caused by an intestinal stenosis early in 1988, snuffed out far too young. Though she's no longer with us, the works she left behind will continue to be admired by many. Her appearances are exceptional, and she's best remembered as the "Poltergeist Girl" for her role in the "Poltergeist" trilogy. You're dearly missed and loved, Heather. Happy birthday!
