vintageeros ::: Favorites 2007-12-10 11:38:50 I believe he's saying, "If I told you my whole story, you'd weep." It is a strange change, but I still like it for the tone of the song __________________________________________________

lawnggcoat ::: Favorites 2007-12-08 21:32:59 I don't think it's that simple. We're all getting older and his music is coated in the resin of that knowledge. There still may be some great songs left and they hardly have to be good by the standards he set to be head and shoulders of the crap that stinks up the world of musical entertainment. He sings for himself now, and for the lucky few who can hear the past and the present simultaneously. __________________________________________________
zeit23geist ::: Favorites 2007-12-06 14:01:31 The only song that has ever brought me to tears, real tears. __________________________________________________

Akiknock ::: Favorites 2007-11-05 08:52:29 whoops maybe it's "I'm still finding it so hard to believe someone would kick me when I'm down." __________________________________________________
Akiknock ::: Favorites 2007-11-05 08:46:16 I caught some but primarily "It's raining so hard you could drown / I don't believe someone would kick me when I'm down." That line overshadowed the rest for me. Sent goosebumps down my spine. One of those direct appeals to his listener that ranks up there with "Tell me now am I wrong in thinkin' that you have forgotten me?" I'd hate to be the woman that broke his heart. The man speaks daggers lol __________________________________________________
knumnut ::: Favorites 2007-11-01 17:36:41 This is another classic song from the great man and the recored version from Modern Times is quite something, I just think that his live performance is too poor now and he no longer does his great songs justice - he has done enough now and should leave it there and let us enjoy our concert memories and fantastic albums - anyone agree? __________________________________________________
dashiellsublett ::: Favorites 2007-10-14 18:38:19 I WAS THERE =D __________________________________________________
Grnwich ::: Favorites 2007-09-29 00:56:56 I remember seing that. It was from a YouTube link posted on a website.He was very self-conscious and he really was wearing overhauls with one strap down, strategically placed. __________________________________________________
TCA20percent ::: Favorites 2007-09-28 03:02:43 I can recall some footage of Bob Dylan at a FarmAid concert. He was wearing a filmy white shirt, open at the chest, and a pair of overhauls with one strap fallen down over his shoulder. He seemed nervous and uneasy when talking to people backstage. It made me think that the overhauls were uncomfortable, or that he ate a big plate of rice and beans, or maybe he had the working man's blues...Do you think ? __________________________________________________
Rebelscreamer ::: Favorites 2007-09-28 00:26:51 Thanks so much for posting this it looks like a good concert. __________________________________________________
hanshotfirst1138 ::: Favorites 2007-09-27 23:17:41 Well, Dylan's sonwriting skills haven't diminished a bit. He's tweaked some lyrics; anyone able to make out the new words? I agree that this isn't his best band but these guys ain't shabby, and that solo is pretty good. Can't hear his keyboard, as usual. This performance is a pretty great one all the same, though; channelling all of the old bluesmen that so obviously inspired him. Great stuff Bob. In the words of your kindred spirit, long may you run. __________________________________________________
BooNube ::: Favorites 2007-09-27 22:39:56 Great work! Thanks for sharing this. __________________________________________________
