Description: This video contains a series of flame tests meant to explore the ramifications of a quantum picture of an atom. The classical view does not predict single, double, or triple colors of light, which is predicted by the quantum model, instead the classical model would predict the whole spectrum should be seen. As can be seen through these flame tests only a few colors at a time are emitted from any atom suggesting that the Bohr quantum view is more on track than the Rutherford classical physics model.
