If she was so bad as you say no one would have paid her attention. And even now many years on after her dead, her records still genarate millions every year. How much does your critical opinions bring you incomewise? Listen to Maria Callas with an open mind. Have a go and you may be surprised!

Dame Judi Dench herself complimented Callas on her amazing acting. (Among others) So yes, Callas was a great singer and a great actress. Her acting is certainly better than Tebaldi's (Who's all arm swinging and not much else) and certainly better than Sutherland's whose diction was a MESS!

Maria Callas was and always will be THE GREATEST SINGER !of opera, and one of the most beautiful women of all time. You can understand with such immense fame you get some psychopaths attacking you...i think figaronight4 lives in an asylum..

People say that Callas wasn't good with words. She said so herself. Tosca was histerical in the first act. A lot of limitations in her technique.

Maria Callas was a histerical singer with an awful voice, many opera commentators knew that Callas had FRAYED UNSTEADY high notes in her disturbing voice WITHOUT harmony. She couldn't manage her metallic voice without beautiful tone and a lot of times Callas was dissatisfied with her own voice.

let me laugh! HA HA HA HA HO HO HO HO HU HU HU. Maria Callas with her metallic voice out of control and tone was the best and the perfect SCREAMER into the opera world. She was ALWAYS screaming horribly until his last London presentation where she sang her worst arias like O Mio Babbino Caro = NO VOICE. DISTURBING VOICE!!!!!

Giovannifabuloso says: ...."I am glad to see alot of honest comments about Callas. She screamed on her recordings. Listen to Callas' Casta Diva and then listen to Ponselle's Casta Diva. If you do not hear the difference you don not hear. Callas' voice was out of control.Callas' destroyed her voice singing roles she should have stayed away from. Ponselle was a true Dramatic Coloratura Soprano. Ponselle did perform La Traviata.".....
