Paris Restaurant Under La Madeleine Church

Description: A 3 course meal in a Paris restaurant for about 10 bucks! €7 bought a basket of bread (baguette), a small salad entrée, Coquilles St Jacques (like scallops) or Andouille (like a pork sausage) , cheese or dessert or fruit. A bottle of Bergerac red wine was €5.50. The service by the lady volunteers was very good. No need to tip. There's a coffee lounge at the end. And the whole restaurant is no smoking - which is very unusual for Paris. Whilst the food is pretty basic and the portions small, the restaurant is located in the very posh 8th Arrondissment not far from the opéra and the major department stores. wallyworld ::: Favorites Todays "Metro" paper says 1200 cars have been torched in France by the loony left since Sarkozy won the election. I've leftist myself. But not that far left. I'm not a French citizen so didn't vote but yes I would have voted Sarkozy if only to improve the Civil Service and limit the strike powers so that at least some of the Metro and trains run (for one thing).
